All you know of history is that the 5 kingdoms (The Sword, The Axe, The Shield, The Mask, and The Bow) have always been at war. All you parents and grandparents know of history is that the 5 kingdoms have always been at war. Even fairy tales and legends dont take place before the war. You and your party are the only people in the world who dont want to win the war, but just want to stop it. The adventure starts in the city of Oakendale (Part of The shield) in the well known tavern; Oakens-Ale. There you went to talk to the mysterious human known as Three. He has a mission for the party, a mission that will get you on track to end the war.

Farin is a tall man with a stern face, whose grey eyes peep out from underneath thick, bristling brows. His coiled brown locks are shorn about his shoulders, and he is clad in a travel-stained blue cloak and absurdly large black boots. A great walrus mustache completely covers his mouth, and his long, elegantly braided beard is tucked into a golden belt. In his hand he holds a gnarled wooden staff with a rough white gem help to its tip by sprawling fingers of wood.
After purchasing 10 Potions of Healing, Farin looks around for an opportunity to cause trouble. Someone wealthy or important would be a preferred target... Perception: 16.
Answer for sir_walrus_II: The city of Oakendale has three larger roads that start at each of the three gates and go straight to the center of the city. At the point where the roads meet there is a large open space where the market lies. There people can pay for a stand to sell things. The market is large and very busy and is filled with stands, guards stand at each of the four exits (three roads and one smaller road that goes to the city hall) and two are sent in the market (they rotate every hour). Next to the roads are trading posts and the shops. It is noon. (I sent you the result of the perception check)
Sogasri is a medium height, medium build human with longer dark hair combed back from his forehead. He has a plain face, shaven, and brown eyes. He wears fine wool clothing in brown, with gold filigree at the shoulders, and collar. There’s a large emblem on his shirt’s chest depicting a hooded figure with a shepherd’s cane. Expensive leather boots. He wears his arms and armor as though he’s comfortable with them.
He haggles for a few things, but not very hard. He more enjoys just talking to the shopkeepers.
He purchases:
a longsword, a breastplate, a component Pouch, and special carved sticks for performing Augury
Alwyn isnt one two try and be flashy . At average height, with long dirty blonde hair, Simple clothing, quiet demeanor, and never looking to offend anyone. He looks around and remains for the most part quiet. He buys some brown robes, a Shortbow and some arrows, 5 healing potions, some ball bearings, and two glass vials. He finds a bench to sit on and people watch and meditate.
Not making eye contact, eyes fixated on people walking by. Pleasantly he says “You never know what you might need to keep for later. The gods may send a message in our surroundings. Want to make sure I can keep it to remind myself of their wisdom. Tell me, who is the one that has shepherded you here?” He points to the emblem on Sogasri’s chest.
"Oh him? That's Urogaland. Strictly speaking, he's a god of death, but it's not what you think. He's more a protector of the dead, and the earth. The Church of the Dead sounds pretty morose, but it's picking up. I think someday not too long from now you'll see a temple in every city and town of size." Sogasri extends his hand "I'm Sir Sogasri, Knight of the Realm, and priest of Urogaland."
“Ahh yes, the world needs balance. You cannot have light without the dark, or appreciate life without death. Although he must keep you busy with all the war.”

"My duties are somewhat... diverse now. Ever since being lifted up to knighthood, I find that I'm less involved with my priestly duties. I'm more often called to martial tasks... that's a large part of how I ended up here." Sogasri stares intently at Alwyn. "Due to my somewhat public figure, I'd much prefer that our work remain secret as long as possible or at least my part in it. His majesty, and the High Priest would not understand. I hope I can trust your discretion."

"What do you mean fifty gold per?!" comes a gruff, yet squeaky, voice from within one of the stalls of the market. "Haven't you heard? The war is going to be ending soon. There's no need to be charging these exorbitant prices."After a few more moments of attempted haggling, a disappointed gnome emerges from the stall stuffing four vials of red liquid into his pack. Shaking his head, he runs his fingers through his salt-and-pepper hair and then an impish grin appears on his face. With a wave of his calloused hands and a few whispered words, a spectral hand appears before him for a brief moment before it disappears.
The gnome then slides behind the stall attempting to be unseen (Stealth16). He squeezes between two shop stands to keep his distance from the merchant who just sold him the potions. In concentration with this tongue slightly protruding from the corner of his mouth and a wiggle of his fingers, one of the vials on the shelf begins to slightly rise (Sleight of Hand8).
DM: Just having a little fun...rule how you wish regarding his attempt.
Dagron arrives in the marketplace, his dark cloak dusty with travel. and makes his way to the armorer's shop. He trades in his battle worn chain for a new set of splint, keeping the ornate helm he is known for in some circles. Only the armorer and her apprentice see a glimpse of the horror that was once his face, the crisscrossing network of scars across his chest. He dons a black mask while his armor is being fitted for him, buys a few healing potions then looks for somewhere to drink. The mask leaves his eyes, mouth and chin exposed, and the scars are clearly visible.
He passes by Alwyn and Sogasri, and bows to the priest. In a deep gravelly voice, "I've sent many a man to your master, I pray nightly he will watch over my victims."
As Alwyn and Sogasri see Dagron walk towards Oaken's Ale, they to are reminded of the mission at hand. Once they've gathered the other two members, they head off to the tavern and wait there. It is very full and loud, and at least 50 wooden tables fit on the first floor of this massive tavern. Massive casks full of ale line one of the walls. After a few minutes of waiting (and some ale) a cloaked figure walks in and sits at a table nearby. You assume this to be Three as you've never seen him before, although he's making no effort to get closer to the party.
Alwyn looks the stranger over, trying to find anything that confirms our suspicion or if there is anything dangerous I would want to know about. I relay any information to the group before nodding and walking over with them.

You do not perceive any threat so you relay that with your team and you all sit next to him. He eyes every member of the party for a while. Well,if we are going to do this, I need to know... Which kingdom are you from, all of you. I need to know to be certain its you.
(choose which kingdom your from, this will affect the campaign)
The kindgoms (shield, sword, bow, axe, mask) are very different but usually dont allow people from other kingdoms to enter their city (you guys had to sneak into oakendale) and thus having a person from each kingdom would be best.
here is what each kingdom is about.
- shield (a strong defence and economy)
-sword (mighty military forces)
-axe (mostly dwarves) (The best defence out of all the kingdoms, often stay very isolated)
-bow (assassins with incredible speed and agility)
