My party is about to enter a dungeon that's all themed around random chaos and destruction, and I wanted to inflict them with a 'berserk' condition, similar to the one in Final Fantasy that makes you attack randomly. Before I go off making up my own stuff, I wanted to see if anything like this already exists, either in official D&D content or just a good homebrew mechanic for it. Has anyone seen anything along these lines before?
Also open to general suggestions about stuff I could put in this dungeon, if anyone knows any particularly chaotic monsters, traps, etc..
The spells Confusion, Enemies Abound, and Crown of Madness do similar things, but you'd have to change any one of them a fair bit to achieve what you're going for.
Sounds fun but just don’t overdo it. Usually players don’t like control of their characters taken away from them, especially over a long period of time. And saying they have no choice but to bash the wizard upside the head is taking control away from them. But you know your players, hopefully, and will know when enough is enough.
Hey all.

Thanks!

There's no such condition, but there is an item; the Berserker Axe
