I went to give my players a water vehicle that I describe to them only to find out I cannot, but it doesn’t make sense.

The blueprint illustration shows something that looks like a longboat, like the kinds used as away/life vessels on tall ships. Is it is illustrated it should be able to hold over a dozen people, and possibly even be outfitted with a mast. I took one glance at the picture, described it as such, and didn’t give it another thought until I went to put it in their Extras today and....

According to the description it can only hold two towers and two passengers. That sounds more like a canoe or a punt. 😒 Anybody have any info for me that I might have possibly missed somewhere? Thanks in advance.

Are you getting the longship and rowboat confused?

I think the art for the rowboat is the same as the longship, just sideways. There is no art for rowboat is probably why.

Just rule it, you are the DM.

Longboat:
Huge Vehicle (10' wide x 20' long) (In reality they would be about 8' wide and 24' long)
Creature Cap:  8-10 rowers, 8-10 passengers.
Cargo Cap:  1 ton
Travel Pace:  3 miles per hour

Just follow rowboat for rest of mechanics.

 No, a “longship” is akin to they types of ships Vikings used, a “longboat” would have been like the boats that they used to transport from ship to shore in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, or the lifeboats in Titanic. They were occasionally outfitted with small sales depending on their usage.

Them reusing the same art is probably what threw me.
