Enlsavement chain. Xandala has acquired a chain that she is currently using to put Artus Cimber under her control as in the spell Dominate Person, except there is no save, the dominated person follows order of any kind, and the spell ends when the collar is removed.

Projectile ward. Xandala Blocks the first 2 projectiles thrown or shot in her directions and takes half damage from further non-magical projectiles in a round. The Ward is lost when she has no allies within 100 feet.

Spellcasting. Xandala is a 9th-level spellcaster. Her spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 19, +10 to hit with spell attacks). Xandala has the following sorcerer spells prepared:

Cantrips (at will): acid splash, fire bolt, light, mage hand, ray of frost

1st level (4 slots): chromatic orb, feather fall, shield

2nd level (4 slots): invisibility, misty step

3rd level (3 slots): fireball, fly

4th level (3 slots): ice storm, polymorph

Quickened Spell (3/Day). When she casts a spell that has a casting time of 1 action, Xandala changes the casting time to 1 bonus action for that casting.

Actions

Multiattack. Xandala can use its Dreadful Glare and makes one attack with Her Quarterstaff or Sorrowful Daggers.

Sorrowful Daggers. Ranged Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 60/240 ft., one target. Hit: (4d6 + 9) slashing damage plus (6d6) Necrotic damage. The Target must make a DC 16 constitution save. On a fail the target gains 1 level of exhaustion.

Quarterstaff. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit:  (3d6+4) bludgeoning damage, or (4d8+4) bludgeoning damage when used with two hands.

Dreadful Glare. Xandala targets one creature it can see within 60 feet of it. If the target can see Xandala, it must succeed on a DC 16 Wisdom saving throw against this magic or become frightened until the end of Xandala's next turn. If the target fails the saving throw by 5 or more, it is also paralyzed for the same duration. A target that succeeds on the saving throw is immune to the Dreadful Glare of Xandala for the next 24 hours.
