Traits

Amphibious. The dragon can breathe air and water.

Actions

Multiattack. The dragon makes three attacks: one with its bite and two with its claws.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 15 (2d10 + 4) piercing damage plus 4 (1d8) acid damage.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) slashing damage.

Confusion Breath (Recharge 1–2). The dragon breathes an iridescent blast of air in a 15-foot cone. Each creature in that line must make a DC 14 Wisdom saving throw, falling under the effects of the confusion spell if it fails.

Chaos Breath (Recharge 5–6). The dragon exhales air in a 30-foot line that is 5 feet wide. Each creature in that line must make a DC 14 Dexterity saving throw, taking 49 (11d8) damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Roll a d6 for the type of damage:
1: Acid
2: Cold
3: Fire
4: Lightning
5: Poison
6: Psychic

Reactions

Chaotic Defense. In response to taking damage from acid, cold, fire, lightning or poison, the dragon becomes immune to the chosen damage until the start of its next turn.

Description

The chaos dragon has shimmering scales that never settle on a single colour and is able to impersonate (unwillingly) any of the other dragon types.

Its unusual form is a direct result of a prolonged existence in the Ever-Changing Chaos of Limbo, so any dragon that finds itself there could eventually lose its inherent chromatic or metallic nature.
