Traits

False Appearance. A wreckberry bush has a similar appearance to a common edible berry bush. It can be so difficult to tell it apart from other similar non-poisonous plants. Anyone attempting to identify a wreckberry must make a Intelligence (Nature) check of DC 15 to properly identify it.

Actions

Acid.  When consuming the berries from the wreckberry bush a target must make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or suffer 1d6 points of acid damage per berry that is eaten. The berries themselves keep their acidic nature for up to three days after picked and can deal damage to any organic matter.

Description

A wreckberry bush is arguably a normal shrub that has taken an extraordinary step in a way to ensure that it is well fertilized, often killing the mammals and birds that eat the fruit. Some lizards seem to be immune however, particularly those that already have their own corrosive saliva or breath weapon.

Lair and Lair Actions

A wreckberry shrub has no discernible intelligence and does not lair, however some beings have been known to cultivate these plants to use the acid produced in the fruit. Elves and fey in particular are known to keep wreckberries.
