Cavalry Training. The Aeillan Aerial Cavalry has advantage on melee attack rolls against any unmounted creature that is smaller than its mount. It can force an attack targeted at your mount to target it instead. If its mount is subjected to an effect that allows it to make Dexterity saving throw to take only half damage, it instead takes no damage if it succeeds on the saving throw, and only half damage if it fails. The Aeillan Aerial Cavalry has advantage on rolls meant to stay on its mount. The Aeillan Aerial Cavalry's mount may make up to two attacks each round if it is controlled.
Flyby. The Aerial Cavalry doesn’t provoke an opportunity attack when it flies out of an enemy’s reach.
Diving Strikes. If the Aeillan Aerial Cavalry is mounted on create with a flying speed, melee attacks made by it deal an extra 2d8 damage of a type the weapon would deal.
Multiattack. The Aeillan Aerial Cavalry makes two attacks with its maul, or two with its lance. If the Aerial Cavalry or its mount has moved more than 60 feet on this round, it has advantage on attacks made with the lance.
Maul. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (2d6 + 3) piercing damage.
Lance. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (1d10 + 3) piercing damage. Disadvantage to hit targets within 5 ft.
Hand Cannon (Recharge 5 or 6). Ranged Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, range 120/360 ft., one target. Hit: 16 (4d6 + 2) bludgeoning damage. Any creature hit by this attack must make a DC 13 strength check, being pushed back 5 ft. on a failed save. Does triple damage on a critical hit.
Description
Elite bannermen of the Aeillan Polei, the Aerial Cavalry are trained to fight from flying exotic mounts, and harass ground formations with flyby attacks. They are almost always mounted when in combat, typically on a Griffon or a Wyvern, though some Aeillan Polei mount their aerial cavalry on more exotic mounts.
