Innate Spellcasting (Psionics). Menyar-Ag’s innate spellcasting ability is Wisdom (spell save DC 24, +16 to hit with spell attacks). He can innately cast the following spells, requiring no components:
At will: mage hand (the hand is invisible)
3/day each: blur, calm emotions, detect thoughts, expeditious retreat, feather fall, jump, see invisibility, shield, telekinesis
1/day each: astral projection, false life (9th level), globe of invulnerability, haste, plane shift, slow, teleportation circle, time stop, wall of force
Psychic Defense. While Menyar-Ag is wearing no armor and wielding no shield, his AC includes his Wisdom modifier.
Multiattack. Menyar-Ag makes three temporal strikes.
Temporal Strike. Melee Spell Attack: +16 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 52 (8d12) psychic damage. The target must succeed on a DC 24 Wisdom saving throw or move a few seconds forward in time. A target moved forward in time vanishes until the start of Menyar-Ag’s next turn. When the effect ends, the target reappears in the space it left or in an unoccupied space nearest to that space if it's occupied.
Menyar-Ag can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. Menyar-Ag regains spent legendary actions at the start of his turn.
Strike. Menyar-Ag makes one temporal strike.
Teleport. Menyar-Ag magically teleports, along with any equipment he is wearing and carrying, to an unoccupied space he can see within 30 feet of himself.
Change Gravity (Costs 3 Actions). Menyar-Ag casts the reverse gravity spell. The spell has the normal effect, except that Menyar-Ag can orient the area in any direction and creatures and objects fall toward the end of the area.
Lair and Lair Actions
Menyar-Ag can use lair actions. On initiative count 20 (losing initiative ties), Menyar-Ag can take a lair action to cause one of the following effects; Menyar-Ag can't use the same effect two rounds in a row:
- Menyar-Ag casts the lightning bolt spell (at 5th level), but he can change the damage type from lightning to cold, fire, psychic, radiant, or thunder. If the spell deals damage other than fire or lightning, it doesn't ignite flammable objects.
- Menyar-Ag casts the creation spell (as a 9th-level spell) using the unformed substance of Limbo instead of shadow material. If used in Limbo, the object remains until Menyar-Ag’s concentration is broken, regardless of its composition. If Menyar-Ag moves more than 120 feet from the object, its concentration breaks.
- Menyar-Ag can magically move an object he can see within 150 feet of himself by making a Wisdom check with advantage. The DC depends on the object's size: DC 5 for Tiny, DC 10 for Small, DC 15 for Medium, DC 20 for Large, and DC 25 for Huge or larger. On a successful check, Menyar-Ag can move the object up to 5 feet plus 1 foot for every point by which he beat the DC.
Regional Effects
The region containing Menyar-Ag’s lair is warped by his presence, which creates the following effects:
- In Limbo, Menyar-Ag can spend 10 minutes stabilizing a 5-mile area centered on himself, causing the unformed substance to take whatever inanimate form he chooses. During that process, Menyar-Ag determines the shape and composition of the forms created.
- Menyar-Ag stabilizes any object created in Limbo and brought to the Material Plane for as long as he remains within 1 mile of him (no action required).
If Menyar-Ag dies, these effects end after 1d6 rounds. All formed substance becomes a chaotic churn of energy and matter, unraveling into unformed substance that dissipates 1d6 rounds later.
