Sword grass is a tough, woody grass with broad leaves that is a relative to bamboo. The plant through it's own natural processes push minerals through channels in its leaves to the edges that dry and harden into tiny crystals that cause the edges to become serrated and sharp like knives.

Elves have been known to take the leaves and treat them to become hard and craft wooden daggers out of the largest leaves.

Though the plants themselves do not lair, some intelligent species carefully uproot sword grass found in the wild and plant it strategically to protect important places.
