Traits

Blades of the Master. Yurnero's sword attacks are magical and have a +3 to hit and a +3 to damage (included in the attack). Yurnero's attacks score a critical hit on a roll of 17 or higher.

Morbid Mask. Whenever Yurnero makes a successful attack against a target, he regains hit points equal to 1/4 of the damage dealt.

Actions

Multiattack. Yurnero makes four attacks with his Ancient Blade when he takes the Attack action.

Ancient Blade. Melee Weapon Attack: +14 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 16 (1d10 + 10) slashing damage.

Blade Fury (Recharge 5-6). As an action, Yurnero works himself into a blade dance of grace and devastation, which lasts until the start of his next turn. During this dance, he can move normally and enter another creature's space, so long as he does not end his turn there. While he is in this dance, all creatures within 10ft of Yurnero must succeed on a DC 23 DEX saving throw. On a failed save, each target takes 6d10 slashing damage, or half as much on a successful one. When Yurnero first uses this ability and while it is active, he cleanses himself of any negative status effects, as if effected by a Greater Restoration spell.

Healing Ward (1/short rest). As an action, Yurnero can summon a Tiny spirit ward to heal him and his allies around him. The ward has an AC of 20 and one hit point, it is immune to all status conditions and spells, it hovers 10ft. above the ground, and has a movement speed equal to Yurnero's movement speed. The ward lasts for one minute or until it is destroyed. While the ward is alive, it restores 2d6 hit points to each friendly creature in a 10ft. cylinder at the start of that creature's turn.

When the Healing Ward is summoned, it appears in an unoccupied space within 5ft. of Yurnero, and follows him until it disappears or is destroyed. As a bonus action, Yurnero can command the Healing Ward to follow 5ft. behind another friendly creature within 30ft. of Yurnero.

Omnislash. (1/short rest). As an action, Yurnero calls upon his ancestral power for a short, but deadly series of attacks. Yurnero leaps toward a target and begins a frenzy of sword of attacks. Yurnero makes 1d10 + 4 attacks, and can choose a new target to attack during the duration, as long as the new target is within 10ft of the original. If a target drops to 0 hit points while Yurnero has extra attacks, and there is no new target within 10 ft., Yurnero loses all extra attacks and the Omnislash ends.

While in this state, Yurnero gains several benefits:

  • All attacks against targets are made with advantage;
  • Yurnero is immune to all damage types and status conditions, and cannot be the target of an Attack of Opportunity;
  • Yurnero can use his Healing Ward as a free action after any of these attacks if it is available.
Reactions

Parry. Juggernaut can add his DEX modifier (+7) to his AC against any physical attack that is made against him. He is able to do this as long as he is not restrained.

Description

No one has ever seen the face hidden beneath the mask of Yurnero the Juggernaut. It is only speculation that he even has one. For defying a corrupt lord, Yurnero was exiled from the ancient Isle of Masks--a punishment that saved his life. The isle soon after vanished beneath the waves in a night of vengeful magic. He alone remains to carry on the Isle's long Juggernaut tradition, one of ritual and swordplay. The last practitioner of the art, Yurnero's confidence and courage are the result of endless practice; his inventive bladework proves that he has never stopped challenging himself. Still, his motives are as unreadable as his expression. For a hero who has lost everything twice over, he fights as if victory is a foregone conclusion.
