Pounce. When an Axe-Beak runs in a straight line at least 20 ft can hit a creature with a clawed kick attack on the same turn, the target must make a DC 15 strength save or be knocked prone. If the target is prone the Axe-beak and make one beak attack as a bonus action.
Hard Runner. Once a day, the Axe-beak adult can triple its running speed for an amount equal to three times their Constitution Score, or If they can dash(sprint) for 10 plus their Constitution modifier in minutes. After which, they will need to make saves to continue or take a point of exhaustion.
Stalker. When targeting one creature an Axe-beak gains advantage on stealth checks related to stalking their chosen target. Also, if they're hidden before an attack, an Axe-beak can attack with advantage.
Multi-attack. on the axe-beaks turn, they can make two beak attacks, or two kick attacks.
Clawed kick. Melee weapon attack: +7 to hit, 10ft, one target. Hit: 11 (2d6+4) slashing damage.
Beak. Melee Weapon Attack: + 7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (1d12 + 4) slashing damage.
Description
An axe beak is a tall flightless bird with strong legs and a heavy, wedge-shaped beak. It has a nasty disposition and tends to attack any unfamiliar creature that wanders too close. Adults unlike the juveniles and their younger years, live solitary lives in thick tallgrass and brush where they can ambush their prey and have the best chance of a kill. Being more intelligent then the typical predator, If being hunted they'll attempt to separate the group and pick off the hunters one by one.
