Mob Mentality. For the purposes of tracking initiative, movement, and attacks, the mob counts as a single unit.
Mob. A zombie mob has 6 (1d8 + 2) zombies. Whenever the zombie mob takes 10 or more damage on a single turn, one of its zombies dies. When no zombies remain, or the mob's HP is reduced to zero it dies.
Multiattack. The zombie mob makes as many slam attacks as it has zombies remaining.
Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 4 (1d6 + 1) bludgeoning damage.
Description
Surviving only on instinct, zombies sometimes cluster together in small mobs. Unlucky adventurers may find themselves in a deadly situation when facing herds of these undead foes. Often these mobs gather in places where they cannot easily find their way out of such as pitfalls or abandon buildings.

I would only increase the number of the Mob to 9 or so and increase the CR to 3. Going to use this one on my Night of the Walking Dead story. (I adapted the 2e Ravenloft module to 5e). Do check my Ju-Ju Zombie and let me know what you think.
