Posted Jan 7, 2022My party was supposed to fight one of these as the miniboss at the end of a quest.
You know what they did instead?
They befriended it and went on a two-session long journey to find its missing parents. On the way I introduced a random NPC. They got him to join the party, and he is now a fan-favorite NPC with a mysterious backstory due to his solitary white dragon wing and his ability to take the souls of the dead and use them to heal.
Those two sessions were some of the hardest improvising I've ever had to to as a DM.

Posted Dec 28, 2022Issa baba Dragon that can spit acid. I portrayed this guy as a threat because they were pets of the grim reaper, making them untamable. For some odd reason, this is the only dragon wyrmling that has its own image. Pretty good stats, and that acid breath? Phew! In the campaign I ran, the dragon used acid breath, but missed and hit the fence of the graveyard, so I had the other monsters escape and the dragon banished by his master for his insolence.
