Posted Nov 7, 2020My current character is a level 2 druid, but you can only wildshape into creatures of CR 1/4 or lower unless you choose the Druid circle of the moon (which I did), so it means you can wildshape into CR 1 or lower. I definitely recommend either the brown bear or dire wolf for this, as my druid had her very first kill as a brown bear. I'm not very familiar with multiclassing, but I know that to turn into this bear at level 2, you have to choose the circle of the moon subclass. If you can't do that, I recommend either regular wolf or black bear

Posted Jun 7, 2021If you are a moon druid, you can transform into a Brown or Black Bear at level 2, and a Polar or Cave Bear at level 6. If you are any other type of druid, you have to wait until level 4 for Black Bear and level 8 for Brown Bear.

Posted Jun 28, 2021I’m no expert on bears, but it feels like 2 INT seems a little too low. Granted it’s a nitpick, but I feel like, from what little I have observed of bears maybe 3-4 would maybe be a bit more accurate? IDK maybe being able to figure out how to open a car door is more of a WIS related stats, and then again INT is more of a memory retention and gathering of knowledge rather than putting stuff into practice.

Posted Jul 30, 2021Intelligence is understanding and memorizing patterns and complex ideas, such as language and mathematics, whereas Wisdom is practical knowledge and, in some cases, philosophy, so understanding how to operate basic machines, such as levers, would fall under Wisdom, whereas constructing simple machines or incorporating them into complex machines, such as a pulley, would be Intelligence based. So low Intelligence with above average Wisdom seems appropriate to me for relatively clever beasts, if you have an Intelligence of 5 or higher, that means you can at least understand crude concepts of language and humor, as you can be affected by spells such as Tasha's Hideous Laughter, for example.

Posted Aug 21, 2021I met a brown bear with my friends at level 1 and it hit them both so I had to roll for saving throws for them.
Happy to have medicine (:
Right after I hit it to death and then we leveled up, but the guy that was with us and a girl that got chased by the bear both dissapeared and we stopped.
Since I'm a druid I could wild shape to the bear after that happened, since I chose circle of the moon. :D

Posted Mar 26, 20226 is what you need to understand/speak a language, below that there isn't a written distinction for 5e that I recall so a 2 fits. You could maybe push it to a 3 or 4 if you consider that to be the "problem solving capabilities" level.
