By ruling you technically don't get to pick the animals for conjure animals, the DM does! this is a common misconception and many people just play the new ruling because it can upset players
anyway the outcome would be a lot of escape rolls XD but giant owls are a better choice with their flyby trait
A lot of dice-rolling! My party is currently going through this exact situation. The DM sighed VERY heavily and then the druid started making rolls. Combat is taking a while, but this is epically fun.
