Hellish Weapons. The erinyes's weapon attacks are magical and deal an extra 13 (3d8) poison damage on a hit (included in the attacks).
Magic Resistance. The erinyes has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Multiattack. The erinyes makes three attacks.
Longsword. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d8 + 4) slashing damage, or 9 (1d10 + 4) slashing damage if used with two hands, plus 13 (3d8) poison damage.
Longbow. Ranged Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, range 150/600 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d8 + 3) piercing damage plus 13 (3d8) poison damage, and the target must succeed on a DC 14 Constitution saving throw or be poisoned. The poison lasts until it is removed by the lesser restoration spell or similar magic.
Parry. The erinyes adds 4 to its AC against one melee attack that would hit it. To do so, the erinyes must see the attacker and be wielding a melee weapon.

I find the concept of these things really interesting. The direct descendants of fallen Celestials, who exist outside the normal hierarchy and have massive latitude to act “in their master’s interest.” It explains why they’re the prettiest devils, but usually see seduction as beneath them (though not always).
It also accurately represents an important element of real dictatorships, the personal army that the dictators maintain, because they don’t trust the normal army that maintains their power.
I am currently searching for something you might have come across: Erinyes can change genders if so desired, but they are all women. Given that these are a form of Fallen Angel, like Zariel, what would happen to a male angel who fell?
In other words, what is the male counterpart to Erinyes, such as an Incubus is the male counterpart to a Succubus?
It states they can be male or female, so there's no counterpart
@Grun is completely correct, there are male, as well as female, Erinyes. There has to be, because they are the only major devil type who actually reproduce, rather than recruiting from mortals or lower ranks. The females tend to be much more prominent (as an homage to the original Greek furies).
However, you also raise some very interesting questions about the nature of Celestials/Fiends. They are essentially solid concepts, so physical characteristics like sex are as much a matter of temperament and outlook as anything else (why so many of them are Shapechangers).
So, it logically follows that sex could be one of the many things that change in the massive shift in outlook involved in falling, and then reintegrating themselves into a new paradigm. It wouldn’t have to change, but it could (it would depend greatly on the individual outsider). Indeed, otherwise very rigid, lawful creatures like angels and devils, might be very fluid and impressionable in their identity during such a fall.
Obviously it’s an

Can’t succubus also reproduce with other succubus/incubus? As well as mortals creating cambions/Alu-fiends? I think it’s a new addition to 5e
You are correct, suc/incubi can also reproduce with each other and cross-breed more easily than other fiends (I also think this lore is a more recent development).
Actually, this parallel has lead some scholars to suggest they are also the descendants of fallen celestials, tempted by lust & material pleasures rather than the corruption of authority & hard power like Erinyes.
For linguists that appreciate these subtleties, a singular "erinyes" is actually an erinys (ih-rahy-nis).
Maybe most Erinyes are female because Zariel is female.
Erikyes.
Got a player who's patron is an Erinyes.
I've thought about having their patron slowly corrupt the PC by having them kill npcs that they (the PC) have been lead to believe are in some way tied to the death of their family.
I don't know much about Erinyes and this monster entry doesn't really go into much detail. Thoughts?
Is it possible to play a character based off of one of these? And if yes, how would I go around doing it?
