Description
Frost giants are creatures of ice and snow, with hair and beards of pale white or light blue, and flesh as blue as glacial ice. They respect only brute strength and skill in battle.
I thought these guys were supposed to be the ancient enemies of white dragons. A dragon could thrash this guy.
These stats are guidelines. Im sure a Frost Goant king with ramped up stats would handle his own.
If you think about it it makes sense considering dragons are solitary creatures. 10 giants working in tandem are going to be more then a fair challenge for a ancient ice dragon
he looks cold
That would be dope!
Remember, this character sheet is only your "average run of the mill" frost giant. Flavor it with weapons, armour, themed/balanced version of barbarian fighter or even ranger abilities and skills. For instance you could give it a reaction, triggered when reduced below 69 health, to heal for 50 points and become resistant to all slashing, piercing and bludgeoning damage for one minute. This is essentially a second wind + barbarian rage combined. (IF you think your boss giant is now going to be nuked by spells anyway before it can act again, you could also put an action surge into the reaction allowing the giant to take a turn immediately)
Is no one going to mention the ZZ Top beard?
They are very useful for roleplay, love em!!!
that's just your DM smh
Pretty good statblock for your "Average CR 8", I recommend adding some flavor if you use a lot of these guys though, such as spellcasting, class features like Limrasson said, different weapons, potions, pets, or whatever you can come up with!
We just fought a frost giant who had made himself the leader of a group of yetis. Was a great encounter at lvl 4
They are not made of ice, they’re just giants that just so happens to enjoy Frosted Flakes.
If they hate fire how do they make their greataxes?
