My Druid turned into a horse.
i was painted to look like a nightmare to trick an efreet baby off of a carousel and ride me.
We accidentally stumbled into a horse show jumping competition.
the baby failed to ride me and got bucked off....
Was that what you were hoping would happen?
Lol
Travel distance on horseback daily on the High Road double human walking distance?
Per RAW, that's correct. 60ft movement speed = 6 miles per hour = 48 miles per day of travel without risk of exhaustion due to forced march. Hope this helps!
Do horse's get any bonus to Skill checks like Athletes and Acrobatics?
No. No proficiencies.
My horse saved my life
If you want them to, I cannot see why not? Maybe your horse is a particular hardy breed so it has a bonus to survival checks? Or is a breed meant for gentle folk, so it as a good temperament and will not startle easy so gets a bonus to WILL saves? Don't limit the possibilities just because the rules don't specifically say yeah of neigh (pun intended).
RAW, a riding horse does not provide a faster travel pace. When arguing by RAW, please provide a source for your claims so that others may verify it.
The travel pace generally remains the same as is listed in PHB (https://www.dndbeyond.com/sources/phb/adventuring#Speed) - that is to say, a normal pace remains 3 mph. There is one significant difference, "A mounted character can ride at a gallop for about an hour, covering twice the usual distance for a fast pace."
For more information, it's only when you are traveling with a "flying speed or with a speed granted by magic, an engine, or a natural force" you use the rules listed in DMG (https://www.dndbeyond.com/sources/dmg/running-the-game#SpecialTravelPace) to calculate different speeds using, for example, the method you provided.
A creature's movement speed ordinarily just applies to combat rounds.
nope, fun fact, irl at peak performance a human has a higher running endurance than a horse at peak performance.
In an act of summary justice, one of my PC's just got turned into a horse by the rest of the party! (Full disclosure, he totally had it coming!) It has been an absolute pleasure to change his picture to that of a horse but the real joy was adding "Hooves" as a custom attack to his player sheet.
How do I get a horse character sheet?
~Thanks Sarapickle
With the edition of Tasha's cauldron of everything you can add Horse to a character sheet by doing the following.
Click the view button on a character sheet. Then click the Extras tab, and click Manage Extras. This should bring up a tab that says "choose a category". Then pick any category that fits the desc. of your horse (e.g. pet, familiar, beast companion). Then type Horse into the Filter bar, and you've just added a horse to your character sheet. I hope that helps
That doesn't seem new, I've been using that section of my character sheet for my Familiar, summoned creatures and polymorph for the last 8 months at least.
how is this stronger thean a goblin
A goblin is a small creature, a horse is, well, a horse? Why would you say a goblin should be stronger than a literal horse?
trying to make a mimic trojan horse for my campaign, this is one of the things im using
So, I have the Blindsight trait and im wondering if I still see everything clearly within that 30ft while Im riding a horse. I know the while riding the horse we get a -5 to perception so I was wondering how that would work.
