Actions
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (1d10 + 4) piercing damage.
Breath Weapons (Recharge 5–6). The dragon uses one of the following breath weapons.
Cold Breath. The dragon exhales an icy blast in a 15-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 13 Constitution saving throw, taking 18 (4d8) cold damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Paralyzing Breath. The dragon exhales paralyzing gas in a 15-foot cone. Each creature in that area must succeed on a DC 13 Constitution saving throw or be paralyzed for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
Wyrmlings don't have legendary actions usually though right? They aren't legendary creatures 'till adulthood I thought (101+)
correct
im letting my level one players battle one in a dark room then letting them find out it was a silver dragon wyrmling
hopefully a good way to get them into the mindset for combat
How are the wyrmlings CR2? AC 17, 4 save proficiencies and a breath weapon is way too powerful to throw at a party of lv2s. This thing is a TPK waiting to happen
Same way giant scorpions are cr3
those things can one hit a character that fails the con save of sting
this guy is cr2 because of the weak bite, and the scorpion cr3 because of its big hit being locked behind a slightly low attack bonus and easy con save.
I’m currently in a game where I get to be a silver dragon wyrmling :). For story reasons the party bonded with one as a companion and I got permission to play her instead of joining the party with a PC. Also for story reasons she will grow with the party kind of like the drake companion, but she’s a true dragon. She has her own special “dragon class”.
I think the young dragons can get legendry actions
