Goblin Necromancers best pet ever!
im a goblin fighter that took magic initiate just for a pet spider
Can these spiders make webs? I was wondering because webs are a spell component and the spider could be used for detecting approaching enemies that touch it’s web if you have a spider familiar.
This is just my opinion, but I would think yes, but because of the size of the spider it couldn't be used for combat or to ensnare anything larger than it.
My dm is allowing it. It can only hold something of it's size and can only shoot a web ten feet away. Also it takes time to create complex webs. Other creative uses depends on rolls
Can I tame a spider?
With Find Familiar, you can get one as a friend. With benefits.*
*Like seeing through its eyes.
Or posting it as a sentry in the corner of the room you're sleeping in.
Or scouting ahead.
Or having it perform the help action if it get's within 5ft of a mob. Gives you advantage for one attack.
Or silently have it grab things off distant tables (if we're talking owl instead as a familiar as they fly silently).
If your DM lets you do it, yes.
can I be a Spider?
You can be a spiderfolk its a hombrew race google it
Would you rather be a spider or a giant spider?
I would, it's a good addtion if it's a spider

That critical will ruin the day of the poor, poor level 1 wizard who crossed paths with this beast.
Great Moments in Pedantry: The fastest real life spider can run less than 2 feet per second at full speed. A more accurate move speed would be 5' per turn, with a 10' dash.*Pushes glasses back up the bridge of her nose*
fun story of how my first wizard died. It was the first session of the campaign and we'd just finished our first combat I had taken one (1) attack and was left on 2 out of 7 hp. dm asked me role for perception, to notice a spider that wasn't native to the area ( my character was a sage that specialised in nature studies). Now I was extremely tired and annoyed at nearly dying via zombie slap so I flicked it. rolled for attack and missed. spider got annoyed so attacked me. rolled a 20 I failed the con save, took 2 piercing and 8 poison damage, insta dead. Luckily the dm decided that I didn't have to die but only if I became chronically arachnophobic. So there's the story of Cecil my half elf transmutation wizard who would rather blow up a tavern than be in the same room as a spider.
hello, I have a spider as a familiar and was wondering what happens when the spider causes poison damage. Is there any poisonous effect to the target? Thanks!
Alright, so a spider has a Strength of 2. As a Tiny creature, it has a carrying capacity of 15lbs and can push 30lbs. I am terrified of any spider that could lift 15lbs.
