Traits

Amongst the Plagued. If damage reduces the zombie to 0 hit points, it must make a Constitution saving throw with a DC of 10. On a success, the Plaguebearer drops to 1 hp. On a failure, the undead will burst toxic spores in a radius of 5 feet dealing 3d10 necrotic damage.

Bilious Horde. Loud noises cause 1d4 Plaguebearers to be drawn to the source of the sound.

Zalah's Touch.  If a living creature is bitten or otherwise attacked by a Plaguebearer, it must make a DC 10 saving throw of either Strength, Dexterity, or Constitution. On a failure, that creature is infected: losing 1 max hp per day until they die. Once the creature dies, it instantly becomes a Plaguebearer. This infection can be cured by either removing the tainted area (be it a limb or patch of flesh) before their first long rest or have a greater restoration spell be cast on them.

Actions

Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 4 (1d6 + 1) bludgeoning damage. If the target is a living creature, it must make a DC 10 saving throw of either Strength, Dexterity, or Constitution. On a failure, that creature has been touched by the lord of plagues. Refer to Zalah's Touch.

Bite. Melee Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d6 + 4) piercing damage. If the target is a living creature, it must make a DC 10 saving throw of either Strength, Dexterity, or Constitution. On a failure, that creature has been touched by the lord of plagues. Description

The vile visage of this shambling undead is one that will scar itself into the psyche of any who behold it. The Plaguebearer's husk is covered in bloated fungi and bloated sores resting on pale peeled back skin and grey, decaying flesh. Limbs barely hanging to joints and rotting, blackened teeth fill their skulls. The gaze that meets you is cold and dead, with eyes milky and glazed, if they aren't covered over or rotted out.
