Reckless Frenzy. When the bull is bloodied (below half its maximum hit points), it can decide to attack recklessly. Doing so gives it advantage on its gore attack during this turn, but attack rolls against it have advantage until the bull's next turn.
Charge. If the bull moves at least 20 feet straight toward a target and then hits it with a gore attack on the same turn, the target takes an extra 9 (2d8) piercing damage.
Athletics Proficiency. The bull is considered proficient in the Athletics skill for the purpose of shoving or overrunning a creature.
Bull Riding (Downtime Sport). A bull that has its normal animal intelligence of 2 won't willingly let itself be ridden. A Medium or smaller creature attempting to ride a bull must make a Wisdom (Animal Handling) or Wisdom (Athletics) check*. The check result, divided by 3 and rounded down, determines the number of seconds the rider manages to stay on the bull before being knocked off. When falling off the bull, the rider must succeed on a DC 10 Dexterity saving throw or land prone in a space within 5 feet of it.
* If a creature is proficient in Athletics, it applies its proficiency bonus to the Wisdom check just as it would normally do for a Strength (Athletics) check. See PHB ch. 7: "Skills with Different Abilities".
Gore. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d8 + 5) piercing damage.
Shove (Athletics). Special Melee Weapon Attack +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one Huge or smaller target. The target makes an opposed Strength (Athletics) or Dexterity (Acrobatics) check. If the bull succeeds, it either knocks the target prone or push it 5 feet away (up to 10 feet away on a natural 20).
Overrun. When the bull tries to move through a hostile creature’s space, the bull can try to force its way through by overrunning the hostile creature. As a bonus action, the bull makes a Strength (Athletics) check (+7) contested by the hostile creature’s Strength (Athletics) check. The bull has advantage on this check if it is larger than the hostile creature, or disadvantage if it is smaller. If the bull wins the contest, it can move through the hostile creature’s space once this turn.
Description
More muscular and aggressive than the females of the same species, the cows, bulls have long been an important virility symbol in many cultures, and play a significant role in beef ranching, dairy farming, and a variety of other cultural activities, including bullfighting and bull riding.
It is a common misconception that the color red is supposed to anger the bull; the animal is functionally colorblind in this respect: the bull is incited to charge by the movement of a creature or an item such as a cloak that is dangled to attract it.
