Aura of Antimagic. The arcanovore projects an aura of antimagic in a 10-foot radius sphere around it. Spells and other magical effects that target a creature or an object in the sphere have no effects that target a creature or an object in the sphere have no effect on that target. SPells can't be cast within the sphere. Magic items cease to function as soon as they enter the sphere. Casting dispel magic on the sphere has no effect on it, but the arcanovore can suppress or resume the antimagic field as a bonus action.
Dispel Magic. The arcanovore can innately cast dispel magic at will, requiring no material components. Its spellcasting ability is Wisdom.
Magic Resistance. The arcanovore has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Weapon Revulsion. Weapon attacks made against the arcanovore have disadvantage for as long as the arcanovore's Antimagic Aura is supressed.
Multiattack. The arcanovore makes two claw attacks.
Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d4+3) slashing damage plus 21 (6d6) psychic damage.
Description
Arcanovores are strange creatures created by the zern to devour magic. These gregarious creatures tend to stick close to their zern masters, except when they are deployed to defeat spellcasters. The zern will rarely sell these creatures to mind flayers, demons, and devils, who use them for a similar purpose. They stand between 3 and 4 feet and weigh between 80 and 100 pounds.
