Avoidance. If Zaheer is subjected to an effect that allows him to make a saving throw to take only half damage, he instead takes no damage if he succeeds on the saving throw, and only half damage if he fails.
Innate Spellcasting. Zaheer's innate spellcasting ability is Wisdom (spell save DC 14, +6 to hit with spell attacks). He can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:
At Will: gust
3/day each: feather fall, gust of wind, warding wind, wind wall
1/day each: investiture of wind
Step of the Wind. Zaheer can Disengage or Dash action as a bonus action on his turn, and his jump distance is doubled for the turn.
Multiattack. Zaheer makes four unarmed strikes.
Unarmed Strike. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d8 + 4) bludgeoning damage.
Steal Breath (Recharge 5-6). Zaheer uses his airbending power to pull the air from the lungs of a creature he can see within 30 feet of him. The creature must make a DC 14 Constitution saving throw or begin suffocating. Zaheer can use his bonus action on subsequent turns to remove 1d4 minutes of breath from the target as if concentrating on a spell.
Deflect Missiles. In response to being hit by a ranged weapon attack, Zaheer deflects the missile. The damage he takes from the attack is reduced by 1d10 + 15. If the damage is reduced to 0, he catches the missile if it’s small enough to hold in one hand and he has a hand free.
Description
The Red Lotus
You think freedom is something you can take or give on a whim. But to your people, freedom is just as essential as air. And without it, there is no life. There is only darkness.

The Red Lotus splintered from the Order of the White Lotus after the events that ended the Hundred Years War. Their founder, Xai Bau believed that the Order had lost its way, and had become subservient to a symbol of power, and he believed in a higher purpose.
The Red Lotus works in the shadows; dedicated to the ideal that the human and spirit realms should coexist. Inherent to this belief is the second tenet, that the existing nations and established leadership of the the world must be dismantled and deposed, restoring the natural order to the world - that of chaos and disorder.
The Insurrection
The Harmonic Convergence, when planets align and the barriers between realms thins, flooded the world with energy from the spirit realm and awakened energies and abilities believed lost to the world. One such recipient of this new found power was Zaheer, a member of the Red Lotus.
Zaheer used his new found abilities to control the wind itself townscape his 13 year imprisonment and reform his cell of the Red Lotus by freeing them from their prisons around the world.
The Red Lotus rededicated themselves to the cause, assasinating Queen Hou-Ting and plunging her kingdom into chaos. They appear to stand on the precipice of a long reign of terror.
Zaheer
A devout human monk who has studied the writings of ancient airbending masters for much of his life. Since the Harmonic Convergence, Zaheer has quickly mastered his control over air and uses them with brutal effectiveness. He is the Leader of the Red Lotus as presented here.
Personality. Zaheer is a moral absolutist. You either agree with him completely and will aid him in the completion of his mission, or he sees you as against him, and he will not allow you to get in his way. Zaheer will not surrender.
Variant: Zaheer’s Earthly Tether.
Zaheer is a student of the great airbending guru, Laghima. Laghima once wrote, “Let go your earthly tether. Enter the Void, Empty... and become wind.” If Zaheer sees, hears, or otherwise becomes aware that P’Li, love of his life, has died, his last tether to the material plane is lost. This experience completes his spiritual study and unlocks his true potential. From this moment onward, Zaheer can cast fly on himself at will.
