Unead. The undead warlock doesn't need to eat, drink, sleep, or breath.
Spellcasting. The undead warlock is a 10-level spellcaster. Its spellcasting ability is 6 (spell save DC 10, +5 to hit with spell attacks). The undead warlock has following warlock spells prepared:
Cantrips (at will): chill touch, poison spray
1st level (2 slots): hellish rebuke, unseen servant
2nd level (3 slots): darkness, hold person, ray of enfeeblement
3rd level (4 slots): fear, hypnotic pattern, major image, vampiric touch
4th level (2 slots): blight, hallucinatory terrain
5th level (1 slot): hold monster
6th level (1 slot): flesh to stone
7th level (2 slots): finger of death, forcecage
8th level (1 slot): feeblemind
9th level (1 slot): imprisonment
Deadly Intentions. The undead warlock uses it's own attacks and those of an army of monsters under its command.
Boned claw shred. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 1 ft., 1 target. Hit: 12 (1d10 + 4) slashing damage.
Spear of night. RangedWeapon Attack: +7 to hit, range 10/15 ft., 1 target. Hit: 15 (1d10 + 8) piercing damage.
Rise from death. The undead warlock sits on a throne made of crumbling marble lifeless until a player walks within a 3-foot radius of the monster at which it will rise out of its throne and begin to fight the player and the rest of the campaign party.
The undead warlock lets out a banshee's shriek that paralyzes its target.
Paralyzing shriek (Costs 1 Actions). The undead warlock lets out a shrill howling shriek that paralyzes its targeted player for 2 actions.
The undead warlock will take a piece of the target players soul for itself.
Soul leech (Costs 1 Action). When the undead warlock places it's hand onto a player it's eyes begin to glow a menacing purple and the player takes 1d10 of necrotic damage and the amount of damage they take is restored on the undead warlock.
Description
The undead warlock has features that seemed to have rotted out of order it has pale grey leathery skin that hangs loosely around the bones with no muscle between them it has eyes that barely stay in the sockets it has only thin wisps of oily hair atop a horned head with no skin left on it's hands it wears grayed robes covered in dust and has yellowed teeth with no lips to cover them.
Lair and Lair Actions
The undead warlock resides in underground ruins of stone, marble, and aged rare metal the lairs are infested with all kinds of powerful undead monsters under its command and are shrouded in darkness. Any nonmagic light sources within 1 mile of the lair are snuffed by a cold gust of wind the lairs are huge and filled with eerie crumbling statues and piles of cursed treasure that is best left alone.
Lair Actions
On initiative count 1, the undead warlock takes a lair action to blind the target player; the undead warlock can’t use the same effect two rounds in a row:
- The undead warlock lets out a deep belowing call and every monster within a 6 mile radius of it come to fight by its side.
- The lair fills with a thick smog for 3 miles that conceals the undead warlock and deals 12 poison damage to the players in its range players may attempt a dexterity saving throw of 12 or higher on 1d20 to evade the damage.
Regional Effects
The region containing a legendary undead warlock’s lair is haunted, which creates one or more of the following effects:
- Certain paintings and statues in the lair's region are enchanted to move on their own and attack a member of the campaign party seeing them as an unwanted geust.
- The region around the lair are infested with specters that will move to attack any campaign member in their path.
If the undead warlock dies, these effects fade over the course of 1d4 days.
