Traits

Keen Senses (Hearing): This creature has advantage on Perception (WIS) checks that use their sense of hearing.

Multi Attack: This creature can make one Beak and one Tail attack each round. Alternatively, they can make one Fireball or Trample attack each round.

Actions

Beak: 5ft range, +7 to hit, 2D8+4 Bludgeoning damage.

Fireball: 10ft/60ft range, 6D10 Fire damage. A creature hit by this attack must pass a DC15 DEX save or take full damage from this attack (half on a success). Alternatively this attack can be used to target two separate targets, dealing 3D10 Fire damage to each target if they fail the DEX save. This ability recharges on a 5+ on a D6.

Tail: 5ft/10ft range +7 to hit, 2D8+4 Bludgeoning damage.

Trample: The Yian Kut-ku can choose to make a Trample attack with a range equal to its walking speed. The creature moves as normal in a straight line, dealing 2D8+4 Bludgeoning damage to all creatures in its path and forcing them to pass a DC15 STR save or be knocked Prone.

A target creature that passes the STR save forces the Yian Kut Ku to stop its Trample attack but still takes full damage. Once this attack is resolved, the Yian Kut-ku becomes Prone.

Mythic Actions

Enraged: When this creature reaches half its hit points, They gain a +2 modifier to its damage rolls when they make BeakTail and Trample attacks. This effect lasts for 1D3 rounds.

Description

Yian Kut-ku are distinctive pink wyverns with a smooth, parrot like beak, a bony crest and  powerful wings. They are curious creatures who avoid conflict where possible. Once their anger is roused they fight in an awkward yet destructive way. When they feel threatened, they try to escape by ploughing through the threat in front of them. They can also launch orbs of searing fire from their mouths. Herbivores are the majority of their diet but will fiercely defend their kills from other predators unless the size difference is too large. Their sense of hearing is incredibly keen, making them tricky to track without alerting them to potential danger.
