With a Natural 1 - The beak cracks, if two natural ones occur before a long rest, the beak breaks and is unusable.
Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 14 (2d8 + 5) slashing damage.
Unnatural Screech - Every creature in a 20 ft radius makes a DC 11 intelligence saving throw. On a failure, creatures take 2d6+2 psychic damage. On a success, take half damage. After a success, creatures who would be affected automatically succeed for the next 24 hours.
Consume Flesh - the owlbear may consume nearby flesh (living or dead) and regain 1d6 hitpoints.
Description
A monstrous cross between giant owl and bear, an owlbear’s reputation for ferocity and aggression makes it one of the most feared predators of the wild.
The feathers on this creature are falling off in places, creating small bald patches. The skin underneath is a sickly grey color. It's eyes wild, and beak cracked, it is easy to provoke.
