Corpse Rifler. The grave robber uses its reaction to quickly rifle through the remains of a corpse or a creature that is dead or unconscious within 5 feet of it. The grave robber takes one item from the corpse or creature; determined randomly by rolling (1d6) and following the results listed below:
• 1-2 (Weapon) The grave robber takes a single weapon from the creature or corpse, unless the weapon cannot be removed by nonmagical means. If the weapon is classified as simple and does not require attunement, the grave robber may immediately equip the weapon. If no weapons are available, the grave robber instead takes 1 item from the creature or corpse (see Item entry below).
• 3-5 (Coin) The grave robber takes 9 (3d6) Gold Pieces or its closest equivalent value in gemstones or other coinage from the creature or corpse. If no gemstones or other coinage options are available; the grave robber instead takes 1 item from the creature or corpse (see Item entry below), the taken items value must be the closest available equivalent to the coin value rolled.
• 6 (Item) The grave robber takes a single item (which includes spell components) from the creature or corpse that is not a weapon or donned article of armor (with exception to shields and helmets), unless the item cannot be removed by nonmagical means. If the item does not require attunement, the grave robber may immediately equip it, regardless of any possible attuenment; the grave robber may stow the item instead of equipping it.
If no items, weapons, or valued coinage are available for the grave robber to take, this ability is wasted.
