Fungal Infection. The cleric has lost their mind to the fungal infection, there is no more space for different mind-altering effects. The Twisted Cleric has immunity to charm and frighten effects.
Mycelium Ancestry. The infection has distorted and transformed the elven heritage of the half-elf cleric, however some things have remained. The Twisted Cleric has cannot be put to sleep magically.
Gloom Sight. The infection has attached to the eyes of the cleric in a different way to the soldier's, and has morphed and improved their ability to see through dim light. Despite this improvement, it can cause the Twisted Cleric to become over-stimulated in bright light. The Twisted Cleric can see in darkness as if it were bright light. If the Twisted Cleric attempts to see in to bright light, they have disadvantage on all ability checks and attack rolls. If the cleric becomes illuminated in bright light, they become stunned until the end of their next turn, after which they somewhat adjust, having disadvantage on all ability checks and attack rolls.
Spellcasting. The Twisted Cleric is a 2nd-level spellcaster. Its spellcasting ability is wisdom (spell save DC 13, +5 to hit with spell attacks). The Twisted Cleric has following cleric spells prepared:
Cantrips (at will): Resistance, Sacred Flame, Word of Radiance
1st level (3 slots): Cure Wounds, Faerie Fire, Shield of Faith, Sleep
Myconic Spellcasting. The Twisted Cleric can cast Sacred Flame or Word of Radiance with an extra effect. When a creature fails the saving throw of either of these cantrips, it must use its reaction to move as far as its movement speed allows away from the Twisted Cleric, as a moment of fear is induced in the creature.
Weapon Attack. The Twisted Cleric makes one attack with its warhammer.
Warhammer. Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 5 (1d8 + 1) bludgeoning damage.
Sickening Guidance (Recharge 5-6). The Twisted Cleric extends a hand to its infected partner and provides it with perverted divine guidance for its next strike. As a bonus action, the Twisted Cleric may choose a creature other than itself that is infected by the fungal disease (e.g. Twisted Soldier) within 5ft and provide it with an extra d4 to its next attack roll.
Description
Once a half-elf adventurer of twilight faith, the Twisted Cleric is now consumed by a parasitic fungal infection, turning their friends into foes, and every stimulus into something to be afraid of. The Twisted Cleric now uses their divine powers in a sick, warped method, and the infection seems to have adapted to these powers and bolstered them with their own myconic influence. Fungus grows behind the eyes of the cleric, allowing sensations that were never deemed possible to a half-elf before, the ability to see through complete darkness. This ability is powerful, but has a weakness, bright light overloads the fungus, causing temporary paralysis of control, leaving the host defenceless for a few moments before the parasite can react.
