Traits

Keen Hearing and Smell. The fox has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing or smell.

Limited Telepathy. The fox can magically communicate simple ideas, emotions, and images telepathically with any creature within 50 feet of it who can understand at least one language or that has an Intelligence score of 3 or higher.

Fey Ancestry. The fox has advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic can't put the fox to sleep.

Innate Spellcasting. The fox's innate spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 14). It  can innately cast the following spells, requiring no components:

1/day each: animal friendship, calm emotionsdetect evil and good

Actions

Surprise Attack. If the Kitsune has advantage on the attack then the fox deals an extra 2(1d4)

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +5  to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 4(1d6 + 2)

Pounce. Melee Attack: +7  to hit, reach 10 ft., one target, 6(1d6 + 5). If done after moving 15 feet in a straight line the target must make a DC 13 STR save or be knocked prone.

Charm.  The Kitsune attempts to charm a creature by touching creature with its paw.  The creature must make a Charisma saving throw of 13 or be Charmed until it takes damage or makes a successful Charisma saving throw of 13 at the beginning of its turn.  If the creature fails the throw with a 3 or less the creature is Charmed until the the Kitsune ends the spell or takes damage and no saving throws can be made.

Bonus Actions

Healing Kisses (1/short rest). The fox licks or 'kisses' another creature (or itself) and the target magically regains 3(1d4 + 2) hit points. In addition, the kisses neutralizes any afflictions/conditions on the target.

Dash. Can dash as a bonus action.

Hide: Can hide as a bonus action.

Reactions

Canny. The fox can move up to half its speed as a reaction when an enemy ends its turn within 5 feet of it. This movement doesn’t provoke opportunity attacks.

Invisibility. If targeted/hit The Kitsune magically turns invisible until it attacks or until its concentration ends (as if concentrating on a spell). Any equipment the Kitsune wears or carries is invisible with it.

Description

This Kitsune appears as a normal red fox during the day but as the sun sets its fur changes to black, & back to red at sunrise. Hard to distinguish from a regular fox these little tricksters like to roam from the fey realm and charm people for food, trinkets or fun.
