Actions

Multiattack: Edsavlegger make two attacks. Only one of which can be a Rune Shackle attack. 

Personal Weapon Melee or Ranged Weapon Attack: +4 to hit if melee, +3 to hit if ranged, reach 5 ft if melee, 60 ft if ranged., One creature. Melee Hit: 6 (1d8+2) bludgeoning, slashing or piercing damage depending on the weapon the Edsavlegger is wielding. Ranged Hit: 4 (1d6+1) piercing damage.

Blackjack Melee Weapon Attack:  +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., One creature. Hit: 5 (1d6+2) nonlethal bludgeoning damage. The target must succeed on a DC 10 Constitution saving throw against this attack or they receive disadvantage on any Wisdom or Intelligence based ability checks until the beginning of the Edsavlegger's next turn.   

Rune Shackle Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one willing creature, or a creature that is grappled by the Edsavlegger or incapacitated. Hit: The target is immediately restrained and loses the ability to speak verbally, however, they can still communicate telepathically if possible. 

 

Bonus Actions

Invoke Ruins of Power:  Once per day an Edsavlegger may invoke ruins of power on their weapon of choice imbuing it with magic. Any successful attack roll the Edsavlegger makes deals an additional 5 (2d4+1)  force damage until the end of the round.  

Reactions

Invoke Warding Ruins: Once per day an Edsavlegger may invoke the ruins on their armor to cast a single 3rd level Counterspell. The spellcasting ability modifier for this spell is equal to the Edsavlegger's constitution modifier. 

Description

The Edsavlegger are the specially trained guards of the Undemountain that work both in the undermountain itself and on the surface in the township of Amron. 

Edsavlegger have solid titanium torso pieces with inscribed runes on them and decorative runic patterns. Guards carry a verity of different combat weapons (spears, swords, pikes, crossbow and maces). Heavy treated leather protects their joints while long gorgets provide 360 degree protection around the neck line. Each guard is equipped with a softer leather wrapped blackjack for non-lethal take downs and titanium manacles that have no clear opening. Under the jutting out leather gambeson skirt is more titanium armor covering the legs with similar leather protecting vulnerable areas
