Description
The undead sailors of the Mills Crew are a terrifying sight to behold. They are the reanimated corpses of former crew members, brought back to life through dark magic and bound to the will of their captain, Marcus Mills. Their skin is cold and clammy to the touch, and their eyes are dull and lifeless. They move with a jerky, uncoordinated gait, as if they are not entirely in control of their own bodies. Despite their appearance, they are incredibly strong and able to wield weapons with deadly precision. They will attack anyone who threatens their captain or their ship without hesitation, and will only stop fighting when they are destroyed or their captain orders them to stand down.
Lair and Lair Actions
-
Ghostly Apparitions: The undead sailors summon ghostly apparitions of themselves to confuse and disorient intruders on the ship. These apparitions can move through solid objects and can be targeted with spells, but they have no physical form and are immune to nonmagical damage.
-
Spectral Chains: The undead sailors use their powers to manifest chains made of spectral energy, which they use to bind and immobilize intruders. The chains have an AC of 15 and 20 hit points, and they can be broken with a DC 15 Strength check.
-
Eerie Fog: The undead sailors can create an eerie fog that fills the ship, making it difficult for intruders to see and hear. Creatures within the fog have disadvantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks and all ranged weapon attacks made within or into the fog have disadvantage on the attack roll. The fog lasts for 1 minute or until dispelled by strong winds.
-
Reanimation: If any of the undead sailors are killed, they can use their powers to reanimate the corpses of fallen crew members, turning them into zombie under their control. These zombies are under the command of the undead sailors and will fight to defend the ship until they are destroyed.
