Spellcasting. Xolmalog is a pact spellcaster who derives his powers from the bonds he shares with the Fire Elementals and his tedious studies of fire. His spellcastingability is intelligence (spell save DC 18, +9 to hit with spell attacks). Xolmalog has the following spells prepared:
Cantrips (at will): Fire Bolt
1st Level (4 slots): Burning Hands
2nd Level (3 slots): Scorching Ray
3rd Level (3 slots): Fireball
4th Level (2 slots): Wall of Fire
Xolmalog has two attacks per round.
Multiattack. The giant makes two greatsword attacks.
Greatsword. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 28 (6d6 + 7) slashing damage.
Burning Rock. Ranged Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, range 60/240 ft., one target. Hit: 35 (5d10 + 7) bludgeoning damage.
Body of Fire. Xolmalog engulfes himself in flames. Every creature within 10ft. of him has to make a dexterity saving throw (DC 15) and takes 18 (5d6) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much on a succesful one.
Description
Xolmalog, once an outcast in the reigns of the Fire Giants, used his affinity to fire to become the only known magic swordfighter. His affinity for the magical attributes of fire rose above what the Fire Giants normally experience in their lifetime. His interests in learning the secrets of fire and striving for magic knowledge far beyond anything a fire giant wanted to learn, earned him some sneer. Nevertheless he did not falter and befriended the local Fire Elementals.
By day, he trained with his brethren to master the sword, and by night he succumbed to the calls of his elemental friends.
Decades later he is known among the Fire Giants as the one "Newly forged from Fire", a direct translation of the name he goes by now. The strongest Fire Giant who mastered Arcane Arts and the Greatsword.
