Traits

Distress Spores: When a Myconid takes damage, all other Myconids within 240 feet of it can sense its pain.

Rapport Spores: A 20ft radius of spores extends from the Sapherd. These spores can go around corners and affect only creatures with an Intelligence of 2 or higher that aren't undead, constructs, or elementals. Affected creatures can communicate telepathically with one another while they are within 30 feet of each other. The effect lasts for 1 hour.

Actions

Fist: Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (2d4 + 2) bludgeoning damage plus 5 (2d4) poison damage.

Grow Fungus: Once per Long Rest, a Yavimaya Sapherd can use an Action to cause a spontaneous growth of fungus to appear at a location it can see within 20 feet. The Fungus grows to approximately 2-3 feet tall in  a matter of seconds and animates, becoming a fully fledged Myconid Sprout. The Sprout follows the commands of the Sapherd to the best of its abilities for 24 hours after which time it becomes independent.

Description

The Yavimaya Sapherd is typically quite peaceful and only angers if a Myconid Colony it is part of, or a Myconid Sprout it has grown, is under attack. Unlike other Myconids, the Yavimaya Sapherd does not suffer from sun sickness and some sages believe they are a cross between Myconid farmers,  nurses and teachers.
