it's a ghost sword. Immunity to Acid, Piercing, Psychic, Poison, and Necrotic damage as well as Poisons and Diseases. Resistance to Slashing and Lightning damage. Critical hits are as effective as regular hits. Honedge is also vulnerable to Fire and Radiant damage. Honedge also hovers and is immune to becoming Prone, Grappled, or Restrained.

it's a sentient sword. Honedge can be treated as a beast companion for any class that uses weaponry (swords, axes, bows, etc.). However, it gets treated as if it were an actual player.

Incredible Speed. Honedge gets 3 actions per turn. However, it cannot use the Help or Ready actions. It also cannot do

False Appearance. While Honedge remains motionless and isn't flying (with its eye closed), it is indistinguishable from a normal shortsword.

Unusual Nature. Honedge doesn’t require air, food, drink, or sleep. 

Baby Aegislash. Honedge is immune to Aegislash's mind-controlling abilities. 

Actions

Swords Dance. Honedge deals +4 damage on its next attack; cannot be used more than once per turn.

Iron Defense. Honedge takes -4 damage the next time it's attacked; cannot be used more than once per turn.

Autotomize. Honedge can move another 5 ft during its turn and deals +2 damage on its next attack, at the cost of taking +4 damage the next time it is attacked; cannot be used more than once per turn.

Aerial Ace. Deals 2d4 Piercing damage to any target within 15 ft. This doesn't spend any actions but cannot be used more than once per turn.

Shadow Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 1 (1d4 + 2) Slashing damage. This attack deals damage that goes through half the target's AC.

Metal Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 1 (3d4 + 4) Slashing damage. Does +4 damage to targets with an armor class lower than 14. Knocks hit targets back 10 ft.

Slash. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 10 ft., 3 targets. Hit: 1 (5d4 + 4) Slashing damage. Costs 2 actions.

Flash Cannon. Ranged Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, range 40 ft., 1 target. Hit: 1 (1d10 + 10) Force damage. Inflicts prone if it breaks through the target's AC. Cannot be used more than once every 2 turns and Honedge has one less action the next turn.

Bonus Actions

Martial Flurry. Honedge can make two of any of the following attacks as a bonus action: Shadow Claw, Metal Claw, or Slash. Honedge has one less action on its next turn.

Shadow Sneak. While in dim light or darkness, Honedge teleports up to 60 feet to an unoccupied space it can see that is also in dim light or darkness. It then has advantage with its attack and deals 1d4 + 6 Piercing damage. This can also be used to dodge attacks and counter them. Cannot be used more than once per turn.

Phantom Force. On the turn Honedge uses this, it teleports up to 40 feet to an unoccupied space it can see (doesn't matter if the location is in dim light or darkness) and Honedge's turn ends, while also using the Hide action until the start of its next turn. At the start of Honedge's next turn, it has advantage with its attack and deals 4d4 + 4 Slashing damage; goes through 4 of the target's AC points. Honedge cannot use any other damage-dealing actions for the rest of the second turn.

Reactions

Parry & Riposte. Honedge adds 4 to its AC against one melee attack that would hit it. To do so, Honedge must see the attacker. If Honedge successfully deflects an attack with its parry, it can immediately make a slash attack against its attacker as part of the same reaction.

Description

Honedge is a small sword with a slightly detailed sheath and a single blue ribbon extending from the pommel of its hilt. Despite only being around 2.5' tall, Honedge still manages to be an powerful opponent; it's ability to fly at deadly speeds blade while still maintaining amazing control is nothing less than impressive, if not flat-out imposing. More amazing is its ability to enter a shadow and appear out of another, as if going through a portal, without losing any momentum or speed; truly a fright to behold. Just imagine a sword around 20 feet away dropping through the floor and appearing right in front of your face after dropping from the ceiling in the blink of an eye. Absolutely terrorizing, especially when the room you're in is dark. Its true body is its blue eye, but hitting it doesn't do more damage or anything. Not recommended anyway, as it is more than capable of killing someone.
