Traits
Misty Form. The elemental can enter a hostile creature's space and vice versa. In addition, if air can pass through a space, the elemental can pass through it without squeezing. Each foot of movement in water costs 2 extra feet, rather than 1 extra foot. The elemental can't manipulate objects in any way that requires fingers or manual dexterity.
Unusual Nature. The elemental doesn't require air or sleep.
Actions

Multiattack. The elemental makes two attacks.

Churning Burst. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d8 + 2) bludgeoning damage.

Bonus Actions

Condensate. As a bonus action, the elemental can merge with another mist elemental within 5 ft. to form a Greater Mist Elemental. The Greater Mist Elemental spawns at full health despite any damage its component elementals incurred before condensation.

Corrupt. As a bonus action, the elemental can target a single creature occupying its space. The target creature must make a DC 13 Constitution saving throw. On a success, nothing happens. On a failure, the creature's alignment is shifted to chaotic evil, and the creature is charmed unless it has resistance against being charmed. The corrupting effect persists until the remove curse spell is cast by another creature that shares the corrupted creature's true alignment. The elemental cannot use Corrupt on its next round if it successfully corrupts a creature.

Description

Mist elementals are unique and native to the Domains of Dread in the Shadowfell. Though they spawn from the mysterious Mists of Ravenloft that border the domains, mist elementals are independent, malevolent entities with wills of their own. They drift among the many domains, catching unwary creatures and delighting in their corruption. Though they serve their own interests, they humbly serve the Dark Powers when called upon.
