Antimagic Susceptibility. The ragamuffin is incapacitated while in the area of an antimagic field. If targeted by dispel magic, the ragamuffin must succeed on a Constitution saving throw against the caster's spell save DC or fall unconscious for 1 minute.
Damage Transfer. While it is grappling a creature, the ragamuffin takes only half the damage dealt to it, and the creature grappled by the ragamuffin takes the other half.
False Appearance. While the ragamuffin remains motionless, it is indistinguishable from a pile of soiled linens, clothes, or rags.
Garment Thief. The ragamuffin's AC increases for each suit of armor it steals (+1 for light, +2 for medium, +3 for heavy). When the ragamuffin drops to 0 hit points or is incapacitated, it reverts to an inanimate pile of clothes, and any garments the ragamuffin has stolen can be retrieved.
Multiattack. The ragamuffin makes up to three slam attacks as long as it has the stolen armor to do so.
Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit (light armor): 7 (1d6 + 3). Hit (medium armor): 10 (2d6 + 3). Hit (heavy armor): 13 (3d6 + 3).
Costume Change. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one Medium or smaller creature. Hit: The creature is grappled (escape DC 13). If the target is wearing armor or clothing, it is immediately doffed and replaced with a random outfit from the ragamuffin (including those it has recently stolen). Until this grapple ends, the target is restrained and blinded. In addition, at the start of each of the target's turns, the target takes 10 (2d6 + 3) bludgeoning damage.
Description
From the time children are old enough to tidy up, they are warned to keep their clothes off the floor, lest the mess comes to life and gobbles them up. Adventurers would be wise not to dismiss ragamuffins as a mere children's story.
Born of Squalor. Untidy, trashed, or abandoned dwellings can sometimes attract mischievous spirits. They animate piles of soiled linens, clothes, or rags and lie in wait for someone unfortunate enough to disturb the mess.
The Shirt Off Your Back. Ragamuffins delight in beating their victims with their own armor. These animated piles of clothing can engulf humanoid creatures and completely redress them them in a matter of seconds—adding insult to injury with ridiculous costume changes.
