One With the Flesh The Abyssal Copepod is able to find crevices within the musculature of the flesh pit, much like a giant cockroach, squeezing into spaces that would typically be deemed as too small for a creature of it's size.
Smell-Sense The Abyssal Copepod, much like all fauna within the Flesh Pit, is Blind, relying on Pheromones and stimuli aside of sight to locate its prey. It uses Cilia at the forefront of its body to accomplish this feat, and if they are removed the creature is effectively blinded, but is still able to sense movement through tremors within the flesh around it.
Natural Armor The Abyssal Copepod has very thick plates across its body, that are able to compress to account for increased pressure when moving within the tight confines of the Pit. (AC +5)
Grapple & Constrict Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 10 ft., 1 target. The Creature uses it's long appendages to grapple an opponent, if grappled, it will begin to constrict them doing 2d6 damage.
Base Attack Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 10 ft., 1 target. Hit: (2d8 + 4) [bludgeoning] damage.
Consume Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: (3d6 + 5) [acid] damage. Using a proboscis, the Copepod injects acid into its prey to begin breaking it down to a consumable level, that it could be sucked up the proboscis and heal the creature.
Quick Escape (2/Day)Due to being naturally acclimated to the environment around it, the Copepod is able to, on a Bonus Action, merge into the flesh walls around it, and find a crevice to retreat into, for escape, or to gain an advantage in a skirmish by drawing prey deeper into the crushing folds.
Pheromone Release (1/day)The copepod can release its pheromones drawing others of it's type to it's location, for protection, mating, or feeding purposes.
Protect Upon taking damage the creature can adjust its body plates to suffer a penalty to movement/available turn actions, but have an increase to AC +2
