Description
Ziros, the Blood Hegemon, is a massive and ancient Blood Dragon. She lived on the island of Elysium as part of the Court of the Eternal Summer for several centuries but it is believed that by the time of the Fall she was already several Millenia old. Her spellcasting and horrific blood rituals have empowered her far beyond what a normal dragon of her level could be. She was stopped a step away from ascending to divinity by Bongroth, the Hearth Keeper. The ritual she was using to ascend was also sabotaged and instead led to the formation of her prison, the Blood Pentatope, and the crippling of her mouth. She can no longer breath out a caustic bloody mist or speak aloud. She is considered, by the vast majority of the well informed and powerful people of Avlion, to be the greatest single threat to the planet as a whole.
Lair and Lair Actions
Lair Actions
On initiative count #20(losing initiative ties), Zirsos takes a lair action to cause one of the following effects; Zirsos can’t use the same effect two rounds in a row:
- Blood drips and pools appearing out of nowhere. This makes the entire area rough terrain and all players must make a DC 11 wisdom check or are frightened until the next turn. This lasts 2 rounds.
- A tremor shakes the lair in a 80-foot radius around the dragon. Each creature in the area other than Zirsos must make a DC 15 dexterity saving throw or be knocked prone.
