Description

Abyssal howlers are fierce and feared predators of the abyss. The abyssal howler’s massive body possesses traits from many animals, but twisted to their most corrupt form. Their frame is that of a twisted feathery bat, with large wings, bony spikes protruding from its skin, a large stinger similar to that of a scorpion, and a monstrous head with many rows of sharp teeth. Lastly, abyssal howlers exudes fire from all parts of their bodies. It is rumored that the monstrosities possess hearts of flame, which might be what grants the abyssal howlers their powerful flame.

Apex Hunters.

Abyssal howlers are among the greatest hunters of the abyss, possessing peerless senses that allow them to spot and track any prey. The demonic horrors are terrors on the battlefield, swooping down at their prey from above before it has time to react and striking them with powerful blows and fire. The abyssal howler’s venom is also extremely deadly, once injected into their prey the poison burns the prey’s body from the inside out. Possibly one of the abyssal howlers most terrifying traits is that the rarely hunt alone, often groups of abyssal howlers will join together to hunt larger prey.

Howl of the Abyss.

The abyssal howler’s most iconic and dangerous ability is their howl. An abyssal howler’s howl is a blast of fire and extreme sound that immobilizes their prey. The howl also serves as a warning to all creatures in the nearby area and a way for the abyssal howler to assert dominance over territory.
