Echolocation. Any creature in combat with the Basilisk must roll a DC12 Dexterity saving throw at the start of its turn. If the creature fails its throw, the Basilisk will turn towards the creature, and remember its location.
Yeareater. If a creature makes eye contact with the Yeareater, the creature will age over the course of its turn by a quantity of time respective of the creature's race, and the Basilisk will heal by varying amounts:
- Dragonborn - 3 Years [+1hp for Basilisk]
- Dwarf - 13 Years [+4hp for Basilisk]
- Elf/Half-Elf - 28 Years [+9hp for Basilisk]
- Gnome - 15 Years [+5hp for Basilisk]
- Half-Orc - 3 Years [+1hp for Basilisk]
- Halfling - 6 Years [+2hp for Basilisk]
- Human - 4 Years [+1hp for Basilisk]
- Tiefling - 5 Years [+1hp for Basilisk]
Savagely Blinded. Due to the infection across its face from previous battles, the Basilisk is now completely blind. Because of this, it has disadvantage on melee attack rolls to hit.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit (at disadvantage due to special trait "Savagely Blinded"), reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d6 + 3) piercing damage.
Poisonous Spores. The Basilisk can use a turn to prepare the release of a poisonous cloud of spores on its next turn. On the Basilisk's following turn, the cloud is released in a 15ft. radius sphere with the Basilisk at its centre. Any creatures caught within the poison cloud must succeed on a DC11 Constitution saving throw or take 5 (1d6 + 1) poison damage, and are poisoned until the end of their next turn. The cloud lingers for one minute, and its poisoning spores affect any creature starting its turn inside the area.
Description
A basilisk is a multilegged, reptilian horror whose deadly gaze transforms victims into porous stone. This one, however, is different. It bears scars over its eyes, now replaced with rotting, gouged sockets with purply ooze seeping from the gashes. Its ears are elongated and protruded from its head, and flicker passively with any minute sound which rings around the area.
With no eyes, the creature's ability to petrify creatures is lost, but it has evolved to consume a different reward: Time.
