Traits

Cold. A creature that attacks the xixecal with a magical weapon that is metal must make a dc 23 Constitution saving throw or be under the effects of the slow spell until the end of their next turn. 

Regeneration. The xixecal regains 30 hit points at the start of its turn. If the xixecal takes acid or fire damage, this trait doesn’t function at the start of the xixecal’s next turn. The xixecal dies only if it starts its turn with 0 hit points and doesn’t regenerate.

 

Winter incarnate. Constantly for 1 mile around the xixecal its a harsh blizzard. 

Innate Spellcasting. The xixecal’s innate spellcasting ability is Charisma (. It can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:

  • At will: cone of cold, dispel magic, dominate monster, hold person, invisibility, wall of ice
  • 5/day: haste, meteor swarm

Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If the xixecal fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.

Magic Resistance. The xixecal has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Magic Weapons. The xixecal’s weapon attacks are magical.

Actions

Multi attack. The xixecal makes two claw attacks, one bite and one stamp

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +18 to hit, reach 25 ft., 1 target. Hit: 18 (2d8 + 10) slashing damage and if the xixecal hits with both claws in one turn it deals an extra 26 (4d8 + 10) slashing damage with the last claw attack. 

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +18 to hit, reach 15 ft., 1 target. Hit: 22 (4d6 + 10) piercing damage.

Stamp. Each creature within 40 ft of the xixecal must make a dc 23 Dexterity saving throw or take 34 (8d6 + 10) bludgeoning damage and the creature is pushed 30 ft and knocked prone. 

Cold breath (3/day). The xixecal breaths a 300 ft cone of cold and each creature within the cone must make a dc 25 Constitution saving throw or take 72 (12d12) cold damage, half as much on a successful save. 

Legendary Actions

The xixecal can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature’s turn. The xixecal regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.

Attack (Costs 1 Actions). The xixecal makes a bite attack.

Burst of cold (Costs 3 Actions). Each creature within 30 ft must make a dc 23 Constitution saving throw or take 50 (10d10) cold damage and be pushed sideways to the left about 30 ft and knocked prone, Half as much damage on a successful save. 

White dragon's boon (Costs 3 Actions). The xixecal makes a cold breath attack but it doesn't use up a charge but the dc is 21. 

Description

Xixecals are born of gods whose portfolios include evil, ice, and chaos. A storm of the ages moves in, cold beyond all imagining. At its nucleus something moves—a walking glacier 100 feet or more high. Its hoary, icelike body is vaguely humanoid, but always shrouded in an ice storm that screams and howls around it. Pale dragons of purest white wing through the storm, alighting on the shoulders of the colossus with impunity. More than one world’s arctic region provides a home for an unwanted child of chill deific lust. Frozen away for all time, xixecals could be released when some unrelated cataclysm causes the world to shudder and shake, cracking the xixecal free from its rigid prison of black ice. Thus, xixecals do not precipitate a time of change, but may accompany them.

size is actually colossus so it takes up 8 x 8 squares.
