Undead Horde. (See Monster Characteristics Description)

Description

Undead Horde. A collection of undead that has been gathered together by dark forces or a Necromancer.  The Undead Horde uses the same stat block as the Zombie, except with the following changes:

The Undead Horde's Hit Points are combined together into one sum.  You will then need to create Thresholds equal to the zombie's hit points divided by the total number of zombies in the Undead Horde.  Some features in the Undead Horde's stat block will call for X, where X is the number of Thresholds.

The Undead Horde's Saving Throws (excluding Undead Fortitude) and Skill Checks are modified by X, where both the Zombie’s Saving Throws and Skill Checks are calculated as: PB (if applicable) + (Ability Score * X).

The Undead Horde’s Size varies based X:

4+ = Large (Multiattack. 2)

9+ = Huge (Multiattack. 3)

16+ = Gargantuan (Multiattack. 4)

If X is less than 4, the Undead Horde is replaced by the remaining number of Zombies.

Whenever the Undead Horde is targeted by a successful effect that would functionally remove a Zombie from the group, reduce the threshold by the number of removed Zombies until the effect ends.  If this removal is the result of damage, roll for Undead Fortitude if applicable using the Zombie’s individual stats instead of the Undead Horde’s, then reduce the Threshold by 1 for each failure.

If an effect checks for a set number of creatures, the Undead Horde counts as X number of creatures instead of one.  When the Undead Horde is targeted by an area of effect that affects 2+ creatures such as Fireball, assume every Zombie in the Undead Horde is affected.  If the area of effect deals damage, after confirming the Undead Horde’s saving throw, multiply the confirmed damage by X against the Undead Horde.

 Undead Thralls

Add the adjusted Hit Points of the Wizard’s Level to each zombie before calculating the Undead Horde’s Hit Points.

Divide the Wizard’s Proficiency Bonus by the Undead Horde’s Multiattack value before adding to the Undead Horde’s damage rolls. (Minimum of 1 added damage)
