Unusual Nature. The Zardorgonn doesn’t require air.

Arcadian Absorber. The Zardorgonn can absorb Arcadian Cores around them to refill their breath weapon uses.

Seaborne. The Zardorgonn Hatchling is born underwater, and gains bonuses while in water. The Zardorgonn is an extremely superb swimmer and has a swim speed of 90 when born despite being of small size. It can also see anything withing 120ft as it can use a sonar ability to see prey and objects in the water.

Actions

Multiattack. The Zardorgonn makes one Bite attack and one Tail attack.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d6 + 3) piercing damage plus 3 (1d6) radiant damage.

Tail. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d4 + 3) bludgeoning damage plus 3 (1d6) necrotic damage.

Arcadian Reactor Breath (Recharge 5–6). The Zardorgonn exhales a flashing mote of Arcadian energy that travels to a point the Zardorgonn can see within 60 feet of itself, then blossoms into a 10-foot-radius sphere centered on that point. Each creature in the sphere must make a DC 14 Constitution saving throw, taking 11 (2d10) radiant damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one plus 11 (2d10) necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one plus 11 (2d10) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Description

A Zardorgonn (also known as an Arcadian dragon or a Nuclear dragon) was created in a laboratory in ancient Arcadia, combining the powers of a Fey, a Solar Dragon, and a Red Dragon. These powers were then infused into a Lunar Dragon's Egg and supercharged with the energy of an Arcadian Core. The result was a small hatchling with dark scales, no wings, and a ridge of spikes running down its back and Tail that glow different colors (blue, red or purple). These viable hybrid dragons were named Zardorgonns and only grew to be of Huge size or smaller. Females are shorter than the males, but stronger, only growing to be large or smaller.

Zardorgonns are fond of treasure just as all dragons are, but in the airless void of Wildspace, they value food even more. Zardorgonns typically feed on goblin, small creatures, and other forms of sea-dwelling wildlife and small land creatures. When fully grown, a Zardorgonn might mistake a small boat as prey, as it can eat large or smaller creatures when fully grown.

Zardorgonns tend to be nomadic creatures, traveling the seas and only returning home to mate once every 30 years, or to rest once every month. A lair may go empty for numerous months, allowing prey to move in.

A Zardorgonn egg has an obsidian shell, shiny black with red, blue, and purple veins. When an egg is close to hatching, the shell becomes translucent, allowing the light from the unborn hatchling’s spinal glow to shine through.

A Zardorgonn can only be tamed as a hatchling or adolescent as when it reaches adulthood at 150 years old it becomes instinctual based only if it was not bonded with another Fey creature. A Zardorgonn will not bond with a creature who is not of Fey Ancestry.
