Keen Smell. The troll has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell.
Regeneration. The troll regains 3d6 hit points at the start of its turn. If the troll takes acid or fire damage, this trait doesn't function at the start of the troll's next turn. The troll dies only if it starts its turn with 0 hit points and doesn't regenerate.
Blindness Undertrolls are blind, or near-blind, instead relying on other senses to find their way, and prey. Any effects that would dazzle or blind targets with bright light have no effect on Undertrolls.
Multiattack. The troll makes three attacks: one with its bite and two with its claws.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 14 (2d8+5) piercing damage.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d6 + 5) slashing damagg, and 8 (1d6 + 5) poison damage.
Rock Throw. Ranged Weapon Attack: +9 (30/120) to hit, one target. Hit: 21 (3d10+5) bludgeoning damage.
Description
Undertrolls resemble thick, shrunken variants of their green-skinned kin. They will eat anything they can catch and devour, but are more wily, willing to make traps and lure their prey, rather than simply go after it with brute force. However, like their top-side kin, only acid and fire can arrest the regenerative properties.
Undertrolls make their layers in subterrainian caves, often in the Underdark. They are also more social than most trolls, usually forming their homes in a small family unit due to their relative rarity.
