Magic Resistance. Zayn has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
Unfailing Inspiration. When a creature adds one of Zayn's Bardic Inspiration dice to its ability check, attack roll, or saving throw and the roll fails, the creature can keep the Bardic Inspiration die.
Innate Spellcasting (Psionics). Zayn's innate spellcasting ability is Intelligence (spell save DC 16). It can innately cast the following spells, requiring no components:
At will: detect thoughts, levitate
1/day each: dominate monster, plane shift (self only)
Spellcasting. Zayn is a 11th-level spellcaster. Its spellcasting ability is Intelligence (save DC 16, +8 to hit with spell attacks). Zayn has the following bard spells prepared:
Cantrips (at will): blade ward, vicious mockery, mage hand, message
1st level (4 slots): healing word, silvery barbs, bane, cure wounds
2nd level (3 slots): invisibility, hold person, counterspell (+2 to roll)
3rd level (3 slots): mass healing word, slow, dispel magic, haste (MS)
4th level (3 slots): dimension door, polymorph, greater invisibility, death ward (MS)
5th level (2 slots): greater restoration, hold monster
6th level (1 slots): mass suggestion
Tentacles. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 15 (2d10 + 4) psychic damage. If the target is Medium or smaller, it is grappled (escape DC 15) and must succeed on a DC 15 Intelligence saving throw or be stunned until this grapple ends.
Extract Brain. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one incapacitated humanoid grappled by Zayn. Hit: The target takes 55 (10d10) piercing damage. If this damage reduces the target to 0 hit points, ( ) kills the target by extracting and devouring its brain.
Mind Blast (Recharge 5–6). Zayn magically emits psychic energy in a 60-foot cone. Each creature in that area must succeed on a DC 16 Intelligence saving throw or take 22 (4d8 + 4) psychic damage and be stunned for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
Bardic Inspiration (5/day). Zayn can use a bonus action on his turn to choose one creature other than himself within 60 feet of Zayn who can hear him. That creature gains one Bardic Inspiration die, a d10. The creature can roll the die and add the number rolled to one ability check, attack roll, or saving throw it makes.
Unsettling Words. As a bonus action, Zayn can expend one use of his Bardic Inspiration and choose one creature he can see within 60 feet of him. Roll the Bardic Inspiration die. The creature must subtract the number rolled from the next saving throw it makes before the start of Zayn's next turn.
