Overgrowth. A 10 ft. radius around the Vilethorn Weaver is difficult terrain caused by the creatures thick vines covering the area around it.
False Appearance. While the Vilethorn Weaver remains motionless, it is indistinguishable from other plants surrounding it.
Thorns. Anyone who attacks within a 5 ft. radius of the creature must succeed on a DC 15 constitution saving throw or take 2d10 poison damage and are paralyzed for 1 round, take half on a success.
Multiattack. The Vilethorn Weaver makes two attacks with its vines, and one more with its bite.
Vines. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 20 ft., One target. Hit: 9 (2d4 + 4) bludgeoning damage, if the target is medium or smaller they are pulled 10 ft and are grappled (escape DC 15) if the Vilethorn Weaver is already grappling someone they are pulled 10 ft. closer to the creature at the start of its turn.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., One target. Hit: 18 (3d8 + 4) piercing damage.
Thorn Shot. RangedWeapon Attack: +2 to hit, range 20/120 ft., One target. Hit: 13 (2d6 + 4) Piecing damage, the target must succeed on a DC 15 constitution saving throw or take 2d10 poison damage and are paralyzed for 1 round.
Description
Normally forming in spots after dark rituals, the Vilethorn Weaver waits quietly for prey to move where it will be easily grabbed and slowly crushed to death by its large tentacle like vines. This creature if attacked will shoot large thorns that are lined with a nerve poison that paralyzes whoever it hits.
