Description
The odor of sulfur and pumice surrounds a red dragon, whose swept-back horns and spinal frill define its silhouette.
Half of the body has been melted away from dying partially within a pool of lava, only deep muscle and bone remaining.
The upper half of the body has sagging skin with chunks of flesh missing due to the dire wolf residents of the caverns discovering the corpse.
The eyes are gone but the teeth and talons remain.
Lair and Lair Actions
A Red Dragon’s Lair
The lair of Abraxas is deep within a mountain, small tunnels linked to a cavern system recently discovered by the dwarves.
The left chamber has a large pool of lava in it, a small lava flow emerging from the back wall.
To the left of the pool is her nest, three eggs nestled within on the edge closer to the lava pool.
Her hoard, mounds of gold and gems along the edges of the cavern. small gems and coins litter the floor. Within the mounds of gems and gold are pieces of armor and weapons from the young fools who had come down in the past.
In the cavern opposite of the nesting cavern is another large pool of lava with a large tunnel leading out and up, to the outside of the mountain. The twists and turns of the exit tunnel keeps out the light, trapping the heat from the lava within the caverns.
.
Lair Actions
Twice a day Abraxas has the ability to cause tremors to shake the lair in a 60-foot radius around the dragon. Each creature other than the dragon on the ground in that area must succeed on a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw or be knocked prone.
