Traits

Reignited Flame(Mythic Trait; Recharges after a Short or Long Rest). When Wildsear is reduced to 0 hit points, instead of dying or falling unconscious, he regains 300 hit points and becomes fully engulfed in an inferno of flames. The radius of Scorching Heat increases to 60 feet, and the fire damage increases to 28 (8d6). Any creature that starts its turn within the aura must also make a DC 25 Constitution saving throw or be blinded until the start of its next turn.

Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If Wildsear fails a saving throw, he can choose to succeed instead.

Illumination. Wildsear sheds bright light in a 30-foot radius and dim light in an additional 30 feet.

Burning Path. Wherever Wildsear moves, the ground in his wake is scorched, becoming difficult terrain for creatures other than him. The area remains difficult terrain until the start of his next turn. Additionally, a creature that enters the area or ends it turn there takes 14 (4d6)

Scorching Heat. Wildsear radiates intense heat in a 30-foot radius around him. Creatures that start their turn in this area take 14 (4d6) fire damage. Flammable objects that aren’t being worn or carried ignite.

Water Susceptibility. For every 5 feet Wildsear moves in water, or for every gallon of water splashed on him, he takes 1 cold damage.

Actions

Multiattack. Wildsear makes three attacks: one with his bite and two with his claws.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +18 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 36 (6d8 + 10) piercing damage plus 14 (4d6) fire damage.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +18 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 28 (4d10 + 10) slashing damage plus 14 (4d6) fire damage.

Wildfire Howl (Recharge 5-6). Wildsear releases a terrifying howl that sets the world ablaze. Fire spreads out from him in a 100-foot radius. Each creature in the area must make a DC 23 Dexterity saving throw, taking 70 (20d6) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one. The fire ignites everything in the area, creating a ring of flame that lasts until extinguished. The flames are 20 feet high, and any creature that ends its turn in the fire takes 28 (8d6) fire damage.

Legendary Actions

Wildsear can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action can be used at a time, and only at the end of another creature's turn. Wildsear regains spent legendary actions at the start of his turn.

Move. Wildsear moves up to half his speed.

Fiery Swipe. Wildsear makes a Claw attack.

Ignite (Costs 2 Actions). Wildsear sets a 20-foot-radius area within 60 feet of him on fire. Each creature in that area must succeed on a DC 23 Dexterity saving throw or take 21 (6d6) fire damage.

Mythic Actions

If Wildsear's mythic trait is active, he can use the options below as legendary actions, as long as his Reignited Flame has activated.

Swipe. Wildsear makes two attacks with his claws.

Immolate (Costs 2 Actions). Wildsear recharges Wildfire Howl and uses it.

Inferno Leap (Costs 2 Actions). Wildsear leaps up to 60 feet to an unoccupied space he can see. When he lands, the ground erupts in flames in a 20-foot radius. Each creature in the area must make a DC 25 Dexterity saving throw, taking 42 (12d6) fire damage and being pushed 10 feet away from Wildsear on a failed save, or half as much damage and not be pushed on a successful one.

Description

To the animalfolk of Bloomburrow, Wildsear is enormous, the elemental wolf's giant body setting fire to the ground and causing terror around it. Wildsear is a giant beast whose eyes and maw are bright with flames, and whose burning back creates a column of smoke. Wildsear is not only the herald of wildfire, it is the literal manifestation of it. Wherever Wildsear steps, flames shoot out and catch on the surrounding landscape, causing havoc and devastation. The animalfolk say it burns through the seams of their plane and the next.

The greatest among the Calamities, Wildsear turned the tide in the War of Cinders until it was defeated by Lily of Valley, who fashioned Cragflame from its tooth and sent it beyond the Brambles, ending the war.
