Multiattack. The giant makes two attacks, using Stone Club or Boulder in any combination.
Stone Club. Melee Attack Roll: +9, reach 15 ft. Hit: 22 (3d10 + 6) Bludgeoning damage.
Boulder. Ranged Attack Roll: +9, range 60/240 ft. Hit: 15 (2d8 + 6) Bludgeoning damage. If the target is a Large or smaller creature, it has the Prone condition.
Deflect Missile (Recharge 5–6). Trigger: The giant is hit by a ranged attack roll and takes Bludgeoning, Piercing, or Slashing damage from it. Response: The giant reduces the damage it takes from the attack by 11 (1d10 + 6), and if that damage is reduced to 0, the giant can redirect some of the attack’s force. Dexterity Saving Throw: DC 17, one creature the giant can see within 60 feet. Failure: 11 (1d10 + 6) Force damage.
I like that Rock Catching was changed to Deflect Missile
The body paint(I think?) that gives them the look of the limestone/sandstone canyons is SUPER COOL and now I'm just thinking of other stone giant settlements that use similar markings to match the rock in their homelands.
yes, agree. I recently created a goliath barbarian with the giant primal path. One of our party members is a good painter and he will paint my figure like this to represent that he was trained by stone giants.
Huge nerf to the boulder throw from 28 damage down to 15!! They are supposed to be rock throwing experts but now the damage is on par with filth throwing hill giants.
Deflect Missile is the monks' deflect energy
The Ranger tried to shoot this guy and my Monk just got in a tennis match basically because he kept recharging Deflect Missile. Weirdest fight ever. We were just throwing one arrow back and forth while the other players watched and cheered me on.
The dude is even using wisdom because 10+1+3+3=17
Why does Deflect Missile do Force damage? It should probably be the same damage type dealt by the triggering attack.
